About the event
AFFIRM is an 8-week, evidence-based support group for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals aged 16 to 29. This program, facilitated by a trained Mental Health Therapist, uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles in a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment. Over the course of eight weekly sessions, you will develop practical coping skills, strengthen your mental and sexual health, and build resilience. It's a space to connect with peers and celebrate your identity. No prior therapy experience is needed.
What is this workshop about?
CBT AFFIRM is a structured support group, facilitated by a trained Mental Health Therapist, that uses the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to assist 2SLGBTQ+ youth and young adults in developing skills and strategies for mental wellness. CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps people examine how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected.
